GrowHenryCounty.com is a NOT-FOR-PROFIT News Blog dedicated to sharing and spreading relevant news in regards to the economic growth of Henry County Iowa and the Mount Pleasant Iowa area. Any information shared on this site from other news sources will be linked back to the original source and credits given to the author/s. Any contributions to this site in the form of monetary donations may go to the Henry County Senior Citizen group.

For the past two years, we have had the opportunity to provide for Iowa Wesleyan student internships, through its Field Experience office. Iowa Wesleyan College is an invaluable asset to our community. Initially, we worked with Henry County data and compared to data available for the fastest growing counties in the State of Iowa. The review and study of this data and other economic development data is of high priority and compliments studies by our Area Development Commission.

With the cooperation of our Mount Pleasant Area Development Commission, we are acquiring specific lists which are being used in a direct mail campaign. The initial list is comprised of the top 500 Hispanic owned businesses in the United States. (my father, Salvador Alaniz Senior, formally the owner of Alaniz and Sons, Inc. was in the top 100 and was honored at the White House for such.) We have targeted specific industries for these mailings. Some local companies have asked to be included, thus introducing their products and services to industries of their choice.

We will continue to acquire other select lists, such as top women-owned, Asian American owned, African American owned and others. Although we are currently using direct mail, some other targeted mailings will be by means of e-marketing as select prospective lists are available in such a form.

We are a small business in our community. PrintGroup USA is committed to serving our community. The combined resources and skills of our community and business leaders, with the engagement and commitment of our citizens and neighbors will make for a better tomorrow.

    I am a retired Mech. Engineer, who worked in New Product Development for 45 years. I have 21 US Patents, some are in production and I am still receiving royalties on one. I am open to volunteering time to help new start-ups. Their may be many other retired professionals in town that would be willing to volunteer.

    For instance, 3M has a internal-external group of volunteer retired that consults with projects in the Co.
